ROCK AND ROLL - ACOUSTIC BOWL

Turned on the inside and cut on the outside, this bowl really plays with form and function. Inspired by the shape of trumpets, megaphones and speakers, this bowl is fantastic at amplifying sound from your smart phone or other device! Meet the "Acoustic Bowl"! While the inside Rocks, the outside was inspired by Boulders. Intuitively sawn on a bandsaw, this monumental piece is rough, smooth, sharp and soft all at the same time. As my first ever bowl-turning project, this piece was courageous and while I would love to make another (and will!) it remains so! Finally, like all my other pieces, this bowl has been finished with Tried & True, a food-safe Danish Oil and polished with food-safe Wooden Work Surface Wax by Town Talk Polish Co. LTD. - you know, in case you're hungry from all that Rockin' Out.
